A Special Tribute For A Special Friend

CAROLE KURDYDYK

1954 - 2024

Carole, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 during her courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behin her devoted husband, Paul Longtin, and her loving children, Robert and Kristen.

Carole's vibrant spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many. Her love for the arts was evident in her frequent attendance at the theater and symphony, where she found immense joy and inspiration. An ardent supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Carole's enthusiasm for football was infectious and brought her family together for many memorable games. Her talents extended to the kitchen, where she delighted friends and family with her baking, creating treats that were as delightful as her company.

Professionally Carole was an accomplished educator. Beginning her career in St. Claude, she inspired high school students before transitioning to adult education in Winnipeg. In retirement, she kept busy instructing computer workshops for the Winnipeg Library System and serving as part-time receptionist at Lawton Partners.

Carole's generosity and selflessness were further reflected in her dedication to volunteer work. She passionately contributed her time to the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, St. John's Presbyterian Church, and the St. John's High School Alumni Association, enriching her community with her unwavering support. Carole's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.

Her family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life and cherish the beautiful memories she leaves behind. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 251 Bannerman Ave.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra or a charity of your choice in honor of Carole's enduring spirit and commitment to her community.

Her warmth, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
